愛知県蒲郡市の西浦半島の先端に建つ旅館、吉慶。

部屋からは美しい三河湾を望むことが出来る。約50年前に建てられたこの部屋は元々2部屋だったが、間の壁を取り払い100㎡の広々とした客室が生まれた。客室内は海の気配を感じつつ、思い思いに耽ることのできる静寂な空間を随所に散りばめている。海の様子は毎日変化し、波の音や匂い、空気等が変化する。同じように客室の中も毎日移ろい、日々の変化を楽しませてくれる。内装材はシンプルで色味の静寂な素材を選定した。シンプルなタイルは景色の移ろいに染まり、晴れの日や曇りの日、その時々によって風合いは異なり宿泊客の感じ方も異なる。宿泊客の様々な思いに寄り添う客室を提案した。

Kikkei is a ryokan located at the tip of the Nishiura Peninsula in Gamagori City, Aichi Prefecture.

You can see the beautiful Mikawa Bay from your room. Built about 50 years ago, this room originally had two rooms, but the wall between them was removed to create a spacious room of 100 square meters. Guest rooms are dotted with quiet spaces where you can feel the presence of the sea. The state of the sea changes day by day, and the sound and smell of the waves, the air, etc. change. The atmosphere of the guest rooms also changes every day, so you can enjoy the daily changes. For the interior materials, we chose materials with simple and subdued colors. Simple materials are dyed according to changes in the scenery, and the texture changes depending on whether it is sunny or cloudy, and the mood of the guests changes. We propose rooms that meet the various needs of our guests.
